Euros Watch on as US GT5 Prologue Dated
Available in disc or download form this spring.
The wait is drawing to a close for PlayStation 3 owners in the US waiting to try out Sony's first Gran Turismo game for the console.
In a post on PlayStation.Blog, Sony's Scott Goryl said that Gran Turismo 5 Prologue, the taster version of the new driving game, will be out in the US by 17 April.
The fate of Prologue outside of the US and Japan is less clear, however. Speaking to Kikizo, a representative for Sony in Europe said that a date has not yet been decided on for the game.
"April 17th is a US date only," the Sony representative said. "We have yet to confirm a release date for GT5 Prologue in Europe, and will do so in due course."
Gran Turismo 5 Prologue will be available as either a Blu-ray disc or as a download from the PlayStation Store. Those who do choose to buy the boxed edition will find a few extras tacked on, including a Making Of featurette called Beyond the Apex that offers a glimpse at the creative process.
