DMC4 Sells Nearly Twice as Much on 360
Capcom's game takes the top spot in the UK.
When Devil May Cry 4 was introduced the world knew it as a PlayStation 3 exclusive. Capcom later announced that it was shifting the game to the Xbox 360 too. Now that the game's here, it's the Xbox 360 version that's the most popular.
The Xbox 360 version of Devil May Cry 4 outsold the PlayStation 3 version by nearly two-to-one, according to numbers from research firm Chart Track, which said that 61 per cent of sales were for on the Xbox 360. Combined, the pair handily assumed the top spot on the UK chart for the week.
Of the other new games to arrive in the UK over the weekend, the best selling was Disney's new Turok game, which builds on the series' 11-year history. Nintendo brings more cerebral flavour to the chart in Professor Kageyama's Math Training for the DS.
Running in front of all the new games this week save Devil May Cry 4 is Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games. Thanks to a boost after the release of the DS version, sales of the tie-in to this year's Beijing Olympics nearly doubled.
