Sony Wraps Up God of War PSP
Plus word on a 300-esque ad coming soon to the US.
Sony may be coy about spilling details about the God of War game that's in development for the PlayStation 3, but the company is about to get a lot louder about the bald deity's other game.
In a post on PlayStation.Blog, Eric Koch, the senior producer on God of War: Chains of Olympus for the PSP, said that development on the game is done.
"That's right people, we are now officially gold and the game will be hitting your retailer shortly," he wrote.
Of course, Koch is speaking about US retailers. Quite what the status of the game in Europe is isn't clear right now and Sony representatives were not available to comment for this story.
Fans of the series will be hoping against a repeat of the way Sony staggered the release of God of War II between the US and Europe in 2007.
In the same post, Asad Qizilbash, a marketer for Sony, said that the company is also putting final touches on a TV commercial that will feature work done by Animal Logic, the team that helped director Zack Snyder bring 300 to cinematic life in 2007.
God of War: Chains of Olympus will be out in the US (and shortly thereafter at your favourite importer) on 4 March.
