Capcom Underlines Devil May Cry 4 Success
Millions shipped in less than a month.
Turn on the TV in any British household and there's a good chance that before long you'll see an ad for Devil May Cry 4. While all that promotion doesn't come cheap, it does seem to be working, as the latest figures from Capcom attest.
The company said on Wednesday that it has shipped more than 2 million copies of Devil May Cry 4 around the world - not bad for a game that made its worldwide debut in Japan only three weeks ago.
Lifetime sales for the series since the first Devil May Cry game for the PlayStation 2 in 2001 now stand at more than 9 million units, Capcom said, making Devil May Cry one of the best-selling action series to date.
That number should get another bump later this year, when Capcom releases the PC version of Devil May Cry 4.
