Halloween Scares in Dead Space
EA confirms far-off release date for the sci-fi survival horror game.
Among the new franchises EA is looking to debut this year is Dead Space, a sci-fi survival horror game for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. The company said on Tuesday that the game will be in stores in time for Halloween, with a worldwide release set for 31 October.
Dead Space stars Isaac Clarke, an everyman thrust into a precarious spot when the crew of the ship he's come to fix is killed by alien creatures. It's then up to him, and you, to stay alive in this tense third-person adventure.
The game is the product of the fertile imagination of EA's Glen Schofield, whose previous work includes recent Lord of the Rings games and Eidos's Legacy of Kain series.
"Halloween is the perfect time for EA to deliver the fear and anxiety that will keep survival horror fans up playing all night," Schofield said in a statement.
You can find out more much about Dead Space in our recent interview with Schofield. EA has also updated the game's official site, which you can find at www.deadspacegame.com.
