Sony Raids Wipeout PSP for PS3 Remake
Wipeout HD will have familiar, prettier songs and tracks. Full details inside.
Wipeout HD is Sony's first Wipeout game for the PlayStation 3, a high-definition anti-gravity racer inspired by recent instalments in the series coming to the console exclusively through the PlayStation Store.
Sony this week revealed more information about the game, including the tracks and music that will be included. Surprisingly, all are taken from the first two PSP Wipeout games.
There will be eight tracks in total, all of which were first seen in recent PSP offerings Wipeout Pure and Wipeout Pulse. The confirmed tracks include: Vineta K; Chenghou Project; Sebenco Climb; Sol 2; Ubermall; Anulpha Pass; Moa Therma; and Metropia.
Sony also said the game will come with eight remastered songs. All were included in last year's Wipeout Pulse for the PSP.
The tracks list in full is as follows:
- MoveYa! & Steve Lavers - Chemical
- Stanton Warriors - Tokyo
- DJ Fresh - X-Project (100% Pure mix)
- Ed Rush, Optical & Matrix - Frontline
- Noisia - Seven Stitches
- MIST - Smart Systems
- Mason - Exceeder - Special Mix
- Booka Shade - Steady Rush
- Kraftwerk - Aero Dynamik
Sony has yet to announce final release or pricing details for Wipeout HD, though the company has said that it's aiming to get it into its online store this spring, making a release by June almost certain.
