Rainbow Six Vegas Sequel Hits the Jackpot
And, once again, it's the PlayStation 3 version that's getting spanked.
Sales of Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games were up by 60 per cent last week, according to numbers from research firm Chart Track, but that wasn't enough to restrain Ubisoft's latest Tom Clancy game over the Easter weekend.
Rainbow Six Vegas 2 comes in straight at the No. 1 spot on the UK sales chart, with the Xbox 360 enjoying the lion's share of the sales. The game sold three times as more copies on Xbox 360 than on PlayStation 3.
Further down the rankings is another of this week's new entries, Sega's mascot tennis game Sega Superstar Tennis, which debuts in the 12th spot. There's also renewed success for Wii Play, Nintendo's game-and-Wii-remote pack, which is back in the Top 10, thanks to more stock in stores.
Below are the Top 20 games across all formats for the week ending 22 March, as determined by Chart Track:
- Rainbow Six Vegas 2 (Ubisoft)
