New Trailer, Fancy Leaderboards for GTA IV
Plus word on a new music venture aimed at Americans.
Grand Theft Auto IV is less than a month away and Rockstar is finalizing its launch plans. As part of that, the company has a new trailer, which was released online on Thursday.
The new trailer, titled Good Lord, What Are You Doing? (AKA Everyone's A Rat), hints at some of the storyline in the game and also shows off the rag-doll physics that have been used.
The trailer is available to download from www.rockstargames.com/IV or from the Xbox Live Marketplace.
Also revealed this week is Rockstar's high-tech leaderboards, which will be hosted at Rockstar Social Club.
The site will track the playing stats of registered users, allowing them to compare their performance relative to other players. Included is something called The 100% Club, which will list all players that completely finish the game.
In the US, Rockstar is taking the interaction between the game and the internet one step further. The company is working with Amazon on a new service that will allow players to buy songs heard in the game from the online retailer, according to Yahoo!.
Grand Theft Auto IV is coming to PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on 29 April. On the Xbox 360, this will be followed by downloadable content later in the year.
