Alongside the launch of Microsoft's promising video game console was a racing title developed by one of the video game industry's key names. Bizarre Creations' Project Gotham Racing stunned a countless number of gamers as it took a notable strike at Sony's exclusive Gran Turismo franchise. While the company did a miraculous job on all fronts, there's constantly room for improvement, and that's the reason why they're returning for yet another opportunity to overtake the Sony giant with Project Gotham Racing 2, designed from the ground up on Xbox.
Project Gotham Racing 2 features more cities then its predecessor. However, the only ones confirmed by Bizarre Creations are Hong Kong and Edinburgh, Scotland. The final number of cities for the sequel has yet to be determined, but it's safe to expect a rather large number in this department. One thing is for sure, Project Gotham Racing 2 will continue the international racing mood by allowing players to visit genuine surroundings from across the globe.

The kudos reward system was one of the most innovative additions ever found in a racing game. Allowing players to gain points by racing dangerously, the kudos scheme turned the classic "point A to point B" competition into something much more fashionable and complex. Bizarre Creations has incorporated the same type of reward system into the sequel, except this time, they've tweaked a few accuracy struggles.
The original Project Gotham Racing was one of the first Xbox titles to use the custom soundtrack option with perfection. Unfortunately, setting up the tunes was actually a challenging task, and that's why in the sequel, Bizarre Creations has elected to modernize the radio option in order to make the entire experience loads easier on the player.
Project Gotham Racing 2 takes advantage of Microsoft's vast Xbox Live network by allowing players to compete head-to-head in tournaments from locations around the world. In addition, Bizarre Creations is hoping to continue expanding the sequel even after its release by offering downloadable content such as vehicles and maybe even tracks. System Link multiplayer is also supported in Project Gotham Racing 2, enabling players to contend from different Xbox consoles while still remaining in the same room.
Bizarre Creations is for real, there's no doubt about how greatly they crave success. Though the competition is stiff in regards to the video game racing genre, supporters should rest assured that Project Gotham Racing 2 will outdo its forerunner by a long shot. Stay tuned for more details on the hopeful racer from Bizarre Creations prior to its early 2004 planned release.
