It's already been derided and could be ignored by the more discerning gamer, but given a chance, Jaws Unleashed proves itself to be a guilty pleasure - you are the shark, after all.
"Find the right mindset and Jaws becomes fun, if only stupid, mindless and fun."
|
Missions are mostly boring, unbalanced or just plain rubbish. The massive killing machine of a shark that can take out boats with gusto is incredibly easily taken out by three piranhas. There are too many other minor issues to list, but still...
Play this game as a muck about, casting aside all prior memories of the fine craftsmanship of Shadow of the Colossus, the balls-out action of Gears of War or the tactical glory of the Total War series. Even mentioning Jaws Unleashed in the same sentence as those classics is a disservice; empty your head and switch on the part of your mind that just doesn't care. There - you have it. This is the state you have to be in, and once you are, Jaws becomes fun. Stupid, mindless and still overbearingly rubbish. But fun.
