E3 2003: SCEA's Line-Up
Not historically the most exciting publisher stand at E3, Sony do have several quality titles to look forward to this year. Here's the Kikizo list.
Although Sony Computer Entertainment has not officially released an E3 Line-Up game list yet, we've complied a list for the sake of completion. Here is is...
Gran Turismo 4 - the game that needs no introduction. See the first screens here - and expect coverage from us in a big way next week.
Syphon Filter: Omega Strain - The final title in the series, Sony Bend's Omega Strain promises a detailed story that finally wraps up the Syphon Filter saga. Preview here.
Jak II - Naughty Dog's breathtaking sequel to Jak & Daxter is pretty much complete and will blow you away. Look forward to impressions and an exclusive interview with Jason Rubin (conducted earlier this week). Screens here.
Ratchet & Clank 2: Going Commando - Insomniac's trademark franchise is going head-to-head with Naughty Dog's for the first time - but all signs point to both titles being great. Stay tuned for more. Screens here.
SOCOM - US Navy Seals 2 - The sequel to Sony's better-than-expected online shooting experience. Will be interesting to see if this is any better.
Nico - Imaginatively titled, this is the sequel to what believers say is the best game ever - Ico. If Nico ('Ni' - 'two' in Japanese, geddit?) is only 90% as good as the first game then it will probably be the second best game on PS2. Or something...
Downhill Domination - A nice-looking motorcycle outing from Incognito, the developers of War of the Monsters.
Rise to Honor - Hard-hitting action game featuring Jet Li. Stay tuned.
Arc the Lad: Twilight of the Spirits - an RPG that threatens originality, by splitting the world into one controlled by humans, and the other by demons.
2004 Sports Series - A number of '2004' sports titles will also be on show - MLB, NBA ShootOut, NCAA Final Four, NCAA GameBreaker and NFL GameDay. These are all produced by 989 Studios and SCEA.
EverQuest Online Adventures: Frontiers - An expansion disc to EverQuest Online Adventure. Includes numerous enhancements andmore detailed character models, equipment.
Destruction Derby Online Arenas - Studio 33's forthcoming online racer - screens here. Behind closed doors with SCE Europe only.
Ghosthunter - Studio Cambridge's promising horror title. See it here. Behind closed doors with SCE Europe only.
We'll be covering all these titles, especially for you. So check back or miss out!
