Sonic Heroes - Released This Year
Sega have announced that the release date for Sonic Heroes has been brought forward to December 2003.
Thanks to development work storming ahead at Sonic Team, the most anticipated Sonic outing in years will see a release this year, not early 2004 as expected.
In an announcement made by Sega Europe this afternoon, the new date was announced for Sonic Heroes, although it's unclear to what extent this reflects the Japanese and North American dates. It is likely that these will also be brought forward to December 2003, however.
Meanwhile, Headhunter slipped to an unspecified time in 2004, to spread out the release schedule a little and kick start next year. But, with an AAA line-up including Heroes, Worms 3D (31 Oct), Billy Hatcher and Sega GT Online (both 7 Nov), Sega could have something to really celebrate this Christmas.
