Project Rub: Naka's DS Game Exposed!
Take a look at this curious video footage - with awesomely cheesy Sega music - as Sega's first Nintendo DS game is revealed. I Would Die For You!
Update: Feel the Magic: DS Sega Media Update
At the recent Tokyo Game Show, Sega exhibited a brief video sequence and mildly interactive demonstration of its forthcoming Nintendo DS game, I Would Die for You.
Formerly known as Project Rub since its announcement at E3, all the smirking at the bak will undoubtedly turn into laughter as we learn that yes, the game has more than a slight adult theme to it.
And yet somehow, despite the obvious need to rub girls (and guys, including Yuji Naka himself it seems) in places, it all seems decidedly innocent, especially with an unforgivably catchy Sega beat playing in the background.
In this great little video download, you even get to see Yuji Naka slapped upside the face. This has got to make it worthwhile, no?
Although overseen by Sonic Team's Yuji Naka, it is said that many of the team members working on the game are from the United Game Artists side of the merged studio, unsurprising when you consider Tetsuya Mizuguchi's UGA legacy of funky stuff like Space Channel 5 and Rez.
Stay tuned for more on the stylish I Would Die For You as we get it.
