Sega Rubs Out the Magic in UK
The quirky and stylish dating game from Sega si coming to the UK but with the old name.
With Europe the last of the three major territories to get hold of the Nintendo DS, publishers are readying their wares for the portable's imminent release. Sega has announced that it will be there on day one with Project Rub, a game that went by the equally strange names of Feel the Magic XY/XX in the US and I Would Die for You in Japan.
As readers of our previous coverage will know, Project Rub is made up of collections of mini-games, which vary from using the touch screen to do arithmetic in order to open a parachute to blowing on the microphone to send a sailboat skimming across the water.
Echoing the singular gameplay is the art-nouveau graphics style and the story, in which you help the shy main character approach the girl of his dreams.
Nintendo has yet to nail down the release date for the DS, but Project Rub will be there when the handheld launches some time early next year.
