Madden NextGen: First Ever Footage
EA has released the first footage from its next generation Madden title. It's only pre-rendered CG, but still pretty stunning...
As Xbox 360 comes closer to tangibility with yesterday's leak of genuine hardware images, so the system's strongest publishers are beginning to market next generation software directly to consumers.
EA has televised a one-minute clip of its next generation and ferociously popular Madden NFL franchise, no doubt slated to release as an Xbox 360 launch title later this year (September in the US, is the word on the street).
The footage is widely believed to be pre-rendered, but is still a pretty stunning sequence. And if the actual gameplay is anything like this - well then, people saying "improved graphics don't matter" might have to think carefully about which corner to hide in. With visuals like this, even pets and tarantulas will be rushing out to buy next gen platforms. It's just a fact.
