Vivendi Brings F.E.A.R. to Xbox Live
Now you can see for yourself whether you should be excited about the debut of the series on next-gen consoles later this year.
At this stage, after demos, frequent reminders, and expansions, are there still people who know nothing about Vivendi's paranormal shooter F.E.A.R.? If you're one of them, or you're just wondering what the upcoming console version is going to play like, you'll want to hit up Xbox Live.
Earlier this week, Vivendi put live a fresh demo for F.E.A.R. on the Xbox 360. The demo gives you a glimpse at the game's spooky singleplayer mode.
Already out for nearly a year on PC, F.E.A.R. is part of the new breed of shooters that are cognizant of the need for story amidst the gunplay. In this instance, you're part of a special ops team tasked with handling paranormal events.
Developer Day 1 Studios has used that intervening year to add to the singleplayer story mode, and there's also multiplayer you can enjoy over Xbox Live - as long as you're a Gold subscriber, of course.
The full version of F.E.A.R. will be out for Xbox 360 this November. The game is also scheduled to show up on the PlayStation 3 at around the same time. You can find out more about it at www.whatisfear.com. You can also check out our full review of last year's PC release of the game.
