Realtime Response to Crackdown Problems
Here's what to do if you want to make sure you don't lose your save file.
Last week Microsoft and Realtime Worlds dropped a massive amount of downloadable content on Crackdown owners in the form of three batches of content for the popular action game. Then the troubles began.
Realtime Worlds, the developer of the super-cops-'n'-robbers Xbox 360 game, acknowledged on Friday that the content is causing hassles for some people, including wiping their saves, essentially resetting the game.
In a post on the game's official forum, a member of the development team going by Agent G gave instructions for a temporary workaround.
From the post:
- Sign in to Xbox Live
- Start Crackdown and receive new Title Update (if you haven't already)
- Begin a Single Player Campaign game
- Once loaded, press Start and choose Quit
- Reboot Crackdown (soft reboot or hard reboot of console)
Realtime Worlds is working on a permanent fix for the problem that will be included with the next free title update, coming in the "very near future".
