EA Makes Sports Friendly on Wii
Now anyone can play FIFA, Madden and NBA Live.
Modern sports games aren't as easy to pick up as they were, say, 15 years ago - something EA has noticed and has decided to do something about.
The company announced on Thursday a new feature aimed at more casual gamers that brings more approachable gameplay to its new FIFA, Madden and NBA Live games due later this year.
Officially called Family Play, this new feature lets less-skilled players give up some control of the game to the AI so that they can instead concentrate on the important stuff, like taking shots in NBA Live, throwing the ball in Madden, or shooting in FIFA.
The best part is it's completely hot-swappable. Family Play uses just the Wii remote, but once players are more comfortable with the action and feel ready for the Advanced mode, they can simply plug in the nunchuck attachment and immediately assume control of everything going on on the field or court.
