I have no idea what just happened, apart from that I died about thirty times before I progressed. There was spanking, stamping, scissor-kicks and (pimp) slapping, some deft dodging and a hell of a lot of frustration.
Amidst all this chaos, though, was one of the most pure-tech fighting games seen in quite a while - the kind that makes masters of the craft weep with delight, but leaves those not accustomed to needing true skill to take on a challenge left confused, annoyed and looking to play something else. This is God Hand, and it's utterly mental.
There is a story to this game, which is a shock, and it serves to highlight nothing more than the utter bizzareity of the God Hand world - essentially you play as a character who, after having his own arm removed by some nasty demonic chaps and their handy dandy blade, has the legendary God Hand grafted on in its place. This gives you super-mega-rad fighting powers, including the ability to DING someone really hard in the crotch.
"Amidst all this chaos is a very pure-tech fighting game."

God Hand comes into its own, then kicks its chin off, with the fighting system. This thing is honed to damn near perfection and is customisable to the point where you think godawful wigga Tim Westwood is going to walk in and say things that make you sad to be human, with each attack button and the variations on it fully changeable to whatever you see fit. With over a hundred different maneuvers up for grabs, this is something that will keep the purists happy for a long time to come.
Special attacks come in the form of the roulette wheel, which has a number of attacks available for it, all of which inflict great amounts of damage, with some being more appropriate to certain situations than others - it's a very strategic game a lot of the time, and careful planning will get players through a hell of a lot more of the game than those diving in headlong to the ultraviolence. Also, you can hit people in the balls.
DING! Onto the next page...
