Anyway - God Hand isn't perfect. The graphical and presentation side of things aren't up to scratch, but that's missing the point and being unfair to something that is an exercise in pure gaming as much as it is anything else. Unfortunately this single-mindedness causes the game to be something that isn't easy on the more... I loathe to use this term... "casual" player.
The difficulty of the game is verging on ridiculous at times, and though those with mad skills to pay certain bills will get through it, those with less manual dexterity or less patience are likely to either give up and move on or smash things and cry for a few hours.
"It's unfortunate that a game as batshit mental and supremely pure as this can't appeal to everyone."

Nevertheless, God Hand is something that I personally recommend, if only for the experience of pure, distilled fighting game fury. And DING! It won't be loved by everyone, but it's sure to pick up a loyal following of obsessives.
It's a game made with heart, passion and a true sense of humour and it warms the cockles of my knees to see it coming as the swansong from a sadly departed studio, one who brought us the Viewtiful Joes and the compelling, wonderful and so-bloody-great-it-makes-me-want-to-openly-weep-on-live-TV Okami.
Thanks Clover - you certainly won't be forgotten.
