The D-pad is used to give orders to your troops, and is very easily handled. A quick glance at the area you want the Ghosts to go to and press up on your d-pad sends the Ghosts of to survey the area. If they do spot opposition, you can click on the left bumper and they'll open fire. Once your opponents are down, click on the left bumper again to put the Ghosts back into sneaky recon mode and press down on the d-pad to regroup.
"GRAW 2 is far more accessible than the original thanks to a well thought out learning curve."

GRAW 2 is far more accessible than the original and this is in some degree down to the easier difficulty and well thought out learning curve. Missions introduce you to new equipment and weapons, meaning by the time you get to the final stages you are well versed in your gear and quickly able to select the appropriate weapons and squad mates for the task ahead. The tactical element of previous Ghost Recon games continues to permeate every aspect of the gameplay in GRAW2. It also comes naturally, even to the most gung ho Halo player like myself.
From the outset, GRAW2 shows off what the 360 is capable of and looks absolutely stunning on every level. Draw distance is handled brilliantly and even the biggest levels suffer from no noticeable pop up of objects. Effects like smoke blowing in the wind, dust from passing trucks and the awesome rain pouring down as you man the gun on a helicopter in storm conditions make this the best looking 360 game seen to date.
Sound effects are also pitch perfect for guns, helicopters, boots splashing in rivers and cats and dogs barking and howling through city streets. Some of the voice acting is excellent from your comrades and even the sycophant drivers never get annoying. There could perhaps of been more variety from the troops in the field's comments, however this is a very small complaint for a game where troop responses to orders are necessary and orders are issued every 30 seconds or so.
