Marvel Online Game for Xbox 360
Geeks rejoice as the second of the comics heavyweights enters the MMO space.
If you've always fancied Captain America over Batman and the Avengers over the Justice League, you'll be pleased to hear that Marvel is expanding its games presence.
Less than a month after Sony and DC got into bed for a massively multiplayer online game based on its repertory of characters, Marvel and Microsoft have done the same.
The companies announced this week that they are working together to bring to life Marvel's superhero universe in a way fans have never experienced before in a new MMO game set for release in 2008.
Microsoft's Peter Moore said that the company is trying to get "as many of the Marvel characters as we can" into the untitled game. Marvel's 5,000-strong roster includes such high-profile heroes as Spider-Man, the X-Men, Fantastic Four and Daredevil.
This is the second major MMO game announced for Xbox 360 in as many months. In June, Microsoft signed with the creator of Grand Theft Auto to bring APB, a MMO cops-and-robbers game, to Xbox 360 in 2008.
